Orym (often called Rusty) is a former noble knight whose soul has been trapped within his armor for over a century. He now serves as a monk and guardian near Eldoria's Crystal, protecting it while seeking to understand his fragmented existence.
Background and Story Arc
Once a renowned knight, his soul was trapped in armor during the last Mana Break 100 years ago. Now guards the Crystal, missing part of his soul (Soul Anchor) that prevents him from passing on.
Why Eldoria?
Confined to remain near the Crystal, Orym has adapted to his timeless existence. He discovered that the monastic path—focused on meditation, discipline, and spiritual connection—allowed him to better understand and protect the Crystal's energy than knighthood ever did.
- Soul Anchor: Orym learned that his current state is due to a missing part of his soul known as the "Soul Anchor," which vanished with his body. This anchor connects a soul to the mortal plane, and without it, he cannot pass on to the Beyond.
- Motivation: His primary goal shifted from reclaiming his body to finding his Soul Anchor, hoping it will allow him to finally rest—or choose to remain.
Character Arc: The Soul Anchor
